Bangladesh will hold general elections tomorrow, with Hasina Wajid most likely winning the position of prime minister for a fifth time

Dhaka: On Sunday, Bangladesh will hold general elections, in which it is anticipated that former prime minister Hasina Wajid will win a majority once more.

The Bangladesh National Party and other opposition parties have reportedly boycotted this Sunday's general elections in Bangladesh, according to international media.

According to reports in the media, Sheikh Hasina Wajid was able to win the prime ministership for a fifth time because there was no opposition during the election.

On the other hand, a passenger train fire that occurred two days prior to the election claimed five lives and burned numerous coaches.

The opposition denied all of the accusations made by the police, who blamed them for the incident.

The army has reportedly been sent throughout Bangladesh to uphold law and order.

The opposition is calling for Sheikh Hasina Wajid's resignation and the installation of an impartial caretaker government. Thousands of people are in hiding and 11,000 people have been arrested so far, including the Bangladesh National Party's central leadership.

Meanwhile, the controversial elections that are being held in the nation have alarmed the international community.
